'Auckland Hebrew School' was established for the Jewish children living in New Zealand, to encourage love their Jewish identity and let them experience their Judaism with pleasure, pride and joy.
To this end, it is important for us that the children learn the Hebrew language, hear Torah stories, get to know the leaders who have led us through the generations and experience the Jewish customs and holidays in a fun, interesting and enriching way.
Additionally, studies have shown that children who are bilingual have greater cognitive abilities, which helps them in their educational and personal development.
At 'Auckland Hebrew School' we will learn Hebrew by 'Lamdeni-Aleph legend' program which works successfully in many Jewish communities in Australia.
The program is mostly individual and advances the child level by level - from getting to know the letters, and getting to know the markings (that create the vowels), through reading, writing and enriching the Hebrew vocabulary.
The program will be accompanied by a workbook, a homework book and a personal progress book to allow the child and the teacher to follow and enjoy the child's personal progress in reading.
Jewish studies will take place with the help of the 'JewQ' program that operates in the around the world and will be accompanied by a personal handbook that the children will receive.
During the break the children will be able to enjoy a light meal.
The 'Auckland Hebrew School' program will be led by Yael HaCohen accompanied by young instructors to enable progress in Hebrew studies and to give each child the attention and respect they deserve.
Who is the program for?
Local Jewish children from 3 to 12 years old.
No Hebrew knowledge is needed as the plan is individual.
If your child already has their Hebrew reading and writing skills, but you wish to expand his knowledge and connection with Judaism, please contact us so we can match a plan for their level

Sundays between 10:30 and 12:00

What is the cost of the program?
The cost of registering for the program is $120 per child.
Additional siblings: $100 per child.
The payment will allow the use of professional, experienced and successful study programs, a team of instructors who can provide an individual answer and additional materials that will make the learning experience better and more enjoyable.
